Profile: Performer and teacher of American Belly Dance. Director of the Samovar dance company and Samovar Dance Studio.
Professional:
Ruric´s effortless blend of authentic Egyptian and Turkish Orientale dance technique, untraditional sword and veil dancing, and innovative yet disciplined approach to one of the world's oldest dance arts has given her a regional reputation as a mesmerizing performer and teacher.
Ruric teaches belly dance technique and dance exercise classes and workshops at her studio in Louisville KY. She also directs the Samovar Dance Company, which she founded in 2005 to provide students interested in American and experimental belly dance a performance outlet. She incorporates her studies in massage therapy, yoga and pilates into her curriculum so that her students learn to dance safely and strongly as well as with emotion and precision.
Ruric presents belly dance as a dance art worthy of discipline and dedication, and her performances and classes reflect that conviction.
