The Basics of 'Ote'a, a Tradition of Tahiti

 Otea is a spectacular style of Tahitian dance and a LOT of fun!

Learn this alluring traditional Tahitian dance and work off your Labor Day weekend early. Learn the distinctive Tahitian layering, coordination of feet to hip articulations, and how to recognize and interpret the fast-paced Tahitian drumming. Learn a short drum solo that incorporates your new knowledge. $25

This workshop is a School of Ethnic and Experimental Dance event being held in at the Clifton Center studio. It is NOT a good choice for beginner dance students. If you are not currently a student of Ruric's, please email or call her before enrolling.

Advanced beginner, intermediate or professional dancer.
