“Pardon” Belly Dance Choreography Teaser

Step Touch

Length: 3 minutes

Purpose: Learn the fundamental Bollywood move, the step-touch.

Contents: Demonstration of the step-touch and some moving variations.  Very aerobic!

You can’t do a Bollywood dance without this move!  Get your feet coordinated and bounce bounce bounce… it’s the “step touch”.


Oblique Squeeze

Purpose: Learn the “oblique squeeze”… a move found in all styles of belly dance and bollywood.  And a great workout too!

Contents: Includes demonstration of the oblique squeeze and how it’s used in dance.

Hate side crunches?  Too bad!  This is the oblique squeeze… a subtle and powerful dance move.


Stretch with your Cane

Length: 4.5 minutes

Purpose: Learn a very good stretch for your arms, shoulders, and back… using your cane.

Contents: Includes demonstration of a cane stretch used in Raks Assaya and Tahteeb Fantasy.

A part of cane dancing that is somewhat overlooked is your flexibility with the cane.  Learn some stretches that will test the limits of your flexibility and give you greater dexterity with the cane.
